Creating a more active & sporty vacation is easy – we have plenty to choose from. Katja, Hans and Zeus are more than happy to arrange a class reserve a canoe or take you on a bike/hike.

Biking

In and around Confolens there are plenty of fun active things to partake of. Perhaps you are traveling with your own bicycles- there are plenty of routes for novice as wellas experienced riders. If the hills area bit much there are electric bikes available for rent in town and we also have two touring bicycles for use free of charge.

Watersports

Down by the river In Confolens we have kayaks, canoes, peddle-boats and sup-boards for rent. You can also use our floating yoga mats to paddle around with.

Take a morning or afternoon for a leisurely trip down the Vienne, perhaps finishing with a delicious picnic provided by us or enjoy a pizza or hamburgers at the hut in St. German in the shade under the ruins of the castle.

A funny little adventure made of old re-vamped railroad cars! Get a great little workout peddling on the velo-rail! 4 seats take you through the countryside and rushing down the woodland hills.

The hosts were unbelievably friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about all the fun things to do in the area. We stayed for a week and loved it. If you are looking for a bit of relaxation, good food and beautiful countryside this is the place for you.

Katja and Hans are exceptionally warm and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Katja is an amazing cook and made all the meals feel like little celebrations. The rooms are vintage and cozy but charming and everything functions. The nearby town of Confolens has just about everything you could need. Within a 10-20 min drive, there are great possibilities for hiking and eating. The garden is huge and peaceful with lots of trees and bound by a river, great for an after-meal stroll.
